8th Grade Activities Information and Dates

Dear Eighth Grade Families, 

 

As hard as it is to believe, it is time for us to begin to celebrate the accomplishments of our eighth graders and support them as they move on to their next role as high school students.  Now is the time to mark your calendars for the following activities being planned by the Promotion Committee for all 8th grade students.  Please read this schedule very carefully and return the attached form.

4/17 | Completed Forms and Donation Due ($225.00) Friday, April 17, 2026
4/17 | 8th Grade Panoramic during access period
5/12 | Speech Tryouts - Promotion Ceremony Speech Tryouts, 3:00PM room 170
5/14 | Activities Night at SKY ZONE - Dublin 6:00PM - 7:30PM
5/15 | T-shirt Distribution during lunch
6/3 | BOOMERS - Livermore Trip 8:15AM - 3:15 PM (More details below)
6/4 | 8th Grade Promotion Practice and Promotion (details will be communicated in April)

The donation of $225.00 per student includes: Activities Night, A Day at Boomers, 8th Grade Panoramic Picture, T-shirt, and the formal Promotion Ceremony expenses. Please go to our Stone Valley store to make your donation or a check payable to Stone Valley Middle School by April 17, 2026. There will be a convenient drop-off box in the office for your forms and check. 

Friday, April 17th PANORAMIC PICTURE Students will take the picture during their access period.

Thursday, May 14th, 6:00pm to 7:30pm EIGHTH GRADE ACTIVITIES NIGHT at SKY ZONE - DUBLIN

All 8th graders are invited to a PRIVATE EVENT at Sky Zone celebrating Stone Valley’s class of 2025. Parents will take and pick up their child at Sky Zone. This exciting night will include dinner, trampolines, and all other activities Sky Zone has to offer. There will certainly be something for everyone. In order for your child to participate in this great event, a waiver from Sky Zone must be on file. Go to the SKY ZONE website and fill out the SKY ZONE Waiver

In addition, you need to complete the Stone Valley Permission slip. Extra copies are available in the office, or the online Stone Valley Store.

 

Wednesday, June 3rd, 8:30am to 3:15pm BOOMERS - LIVERMORE

Eighth grade students will travel to BOOMERS - LIVERMORE on chartered buses.  Lunch will be provided to all students. Stone Valley staff will accompany the students on this fun-filled day. 

You need to complete the Stone Valley Permission slip. Extra copies are available in the office or the online Stone Valley Store.

The student code of conduct form also needs to be reviewed and signed by the student and parent. Extra copies are available in the office or the online Stone Valley Store.
